How to send a parcel to Russia from abroad
International delivery services to Russia now work with restrictions and slowly, so documents, medicines and gifts increasingly travel with people already flying home.
Where parcels usually come from
Turkey, the UAE, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Georgia, Germany, Thailand and China — travelers fly these routes almost every week. See who is flying now, e.g. Istanbul — Moscow, or all destinations.
What can be brought in
A passenger’s accompanied air baggage has a duty-free allowance: personal-use goods up to €10,000 and 50 kg. Anything that looks like goods for sale is taxed. Medicines with potent or psychotropic substances require a prescription.
How to agree
- Find a trip on the right date or post a request on Whoflies.
- Agree in Telegram on what you send, the weight and the meeting point.
- Agree who meets the traveler in Russia — at the airport or in the city.
- Hand the parcel over open; pay in person.
From Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan
These countries are in the Eurasian Economic Union with Russia: no customs border for personal items, so it is especially easy — by car and train too.
Check the rules for your departure country in the IATA Travel Centre.
