How to send a parcel to Germany from Russia
There are no direct flights, post is slow and couriers don’t take everything. But people fly to Germany all the time — via Istanbul, Belgrade, Yerevan or Dubai — and many can take documents or a small parcel.
How to find a traveler
See trips on the Moscow — Berlin route and the whole Germany page: trips with connections show up too if they pass through your city. No suitable trip — post a request and subscribe to the route.
What the EU bans
- Meat and dairy from outside the EU — prohibited, even small amounts.
- Cash over €10,000 — must be declared.
- Medicines — personal amounts, usually up to a three-month supply; prescription drugs with a prescription.
Details in Germany’s Customs section of the IATA Travel Centre.
Price
Agree with the traveler; parcel size and their connection matter. No service fee.
Tip
Documents and small gifts are easiest. Boxed electronics or many identical items are better avoided — EU customs may treat them as goods for sale.
